The Split Collection isn't the first line to be comprised of furniture using more than one piece of material, yet it is one of the few that does so in a way that really accentuates this fact. The Split Collection mixes and matches wood and metal in a way that results in products that are full of dual-personalities. As though battling for more ground, the wood and metal alternate in an interlocking aesthetic that will mesmerize people immediately.
Designed by Axel Yberg of Akke Functional Art, a studio based in New York, the Split Collection is specifically made out of finished edge black walnut and square stock steel. At once playful and sophisticated, the maze-like element is grounded by modern, clean lines.
