The Spin Light is reminiscent of both a toy and a dance. While the shape is more easily identified as inspired by a spinning top, a simple child's plaything, the Spin Light can also be likened to an abstract interpretation of the whirling dervish. The illusion of motion has certainly been incorporated into the design.
Created by Lucie Koldová for Lasvit, a designer based in Paris, France, the Spin Light is made out of glass. The result is an airy, transparent design that embraces the whimsy of childhood and dance beautifully. Available in various colors, the Spin Light is powered by a small LED light disc.
As though floating in mid air, the Spin Light has a pleasant and decorative silhouette.
