Making nudevertising seem quite tame, Netherlands-based S&M Magazine, Massad, launched a fitting spankvertising campaign. The ad involves adult star Sofia Valentine getting out and about and branding the butts of partygoers at fetish-friendly gatherings.
The branded black whip painfully delivers the message â€œMassad, the SM Magazineâ€ to the bum cheeks of those pleasure seekers willing to participate in their aptly designed advertising campaign.
Implications - Conventional advertising has all but saturated the market and is largely ignored by the general population. In response to this movement, marketers are focusing in on their target markets and providing advertisement that are catered to specific niche markets. Focused, small-scale publicity stunts such as these are proving to be much more effective than traditional methods.
