Talented artist Satoshi Tomizu specializes in working with glass and his latest space orbs made with gemstones and flowers are a testament to his talents. The glass spheres encapsulate the swerving galaxies and stars that reflect the aesthetic of the universe.

Tomizu's sculptures bring the solar system into the palm of one's hand with its delicate craftsmanship and attention to detail. The spheres are filled with swoops of color to create the moving black matter and gemstones such as opal, glass and flowers to replicate the planets. Swirls of real gold are placed throughout the array of colorful matter to add a sparkle and dimension as well as opulence. At close inspection, the various elements of the piece truly do capture space in miniature form made entirely from glass and luxe materials.
