SYNEK recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new wine dispenser called the 'Somm,' which learns the palate of each user. Following the success of its beer dispenser, the company is now targeting discerning oenophiles.
Somm is a countertop wine dispenser that not only pours the perfect glass, but also learns the user's preferences over time. The machine operates similarly to that of a Keurig in that the machine uses beverage dispenser pods called 'sylos.' These pods are designed to hold and preserve the equivalent of three bottles of wine at a time. The sylos can then communicate with the machine to convey information about the wine's specific needs. All of this information is also accessible through a corresponding app that can be used to monitor current supplies and order more sylos when the wine is running low.
With more consumers turning to connected kitchen tech as a way to elevate their dining experience, this device provides the perfect way to enjoy a great bottle of wine every time.
