The 'SeaCharger' solar boat is the design work of Damn McMillian of Silicon Valley who has spent the last few years creating and crafting the vessel to be ready for the sea.
Now that the 'SeaCharger' is prepared for the water it's going to take a trip from California to Hawaii on May 30th.
The 'SeaCharger' consists of a totally autonomous system that is powered via solar panels on the top portion of the unit. The motor system draws power from an internal battery that is charged via solar energy to keep it powering through the waves at a steady pace.
The 'SeaCharger' solar boat is prepared for the trip, so McMillian is taking it to the high seas and setting it out in a few short days.
