Electronic Memory Trees

The 'Social Tree' Installation Keeps Momentos from Your Travels

Helping travelers and adventurers remember their trips, the 'Social Tree' stores and displays memories of those who have passed through the Changi Airport in Singapore. The electronic installation acts like a digital placeholder where travelers can affix their photos. The memories are then stored for years so that adventurers and their loved ones can return to the tree and look at the photos.

Developed in conjunction with LG Electronics, the tree is made from an abundance of tech. The Social Tree is made of 64 42-inch screens mounted in a circle. Around the tree are eight photo booths with touch-screens where anyone can add their photo to the beautiful memory capsule. If visitors don't want to post photos taken during their trip, they can take one immediately in the photo booth. Pictures placed on the tree can also be shared on social networks.
