The Hands-Free Snapchat Lenses Respond to Words Like "Hi" & "Love"

Snapchat has introduced a number of innovative and highly interactive lenses over the years but the newest Snapchat lenses are some of the most impressive yet, as they can be controlled by one's voice.

The new voice-controlled lenses on Snapchat boast the ability to recognize a small selection of words in English, such as "hi" and "love." Ordinarily, Snapchat has its users interact with its various lenses by raising their eyebrows or opening the mouth, but the new lens animations will be triggered by simple words. When the word "yes" is spoken for example, a zoom effect happens, while the word "no" launches users into an "infinite photo tunnel."

These new voice-activated lenses are set to periodically appear in Snapchat's Lens Carousel.
