Snapchat Launches the New AR Lenses with ChatGPT

Snapchat is working with OpenAI, a prominent artificial intelligence organization, to enable developers to build Augmented Reality (AR) lenses using ChatGPT through the new ChatGPT Remote API.

The integration of ChatGPT in AR lenses, accessible through Snap's Lens Studio beta, introduces an innovative way for users to interact with influencer content on the platform.

By leveraging the capabilities of ChatGPT, these lenses can offer responses to user queries and incorporate features such as quizzes or randomizers, enhancing the interactive and dynamic nature of AR experiences on Snapchat. Consumers can also anticipate the company's debut of a 3D facemask generator for AI-powered face lenses.

“They have created nearly 3.5 million Lenses, which in the last year have been viewed by Snapchatters more than 3 trillion times," said Snapchat in a statement.
