Snap has announced the new AI Video Lenses for Snapchat users that will enable them to create immersive video right on the social networking platform as a way to prioritize an artistic look and feel. The lenses are being launched for Snapchat Platinum subscribers who can simply select the Lens before capturing themselves through a Snap using the front or rear camera on their smartphone. The new Lenses feature is being launched with the Raccoon, Fox and Spring Flowers options, which will each incorporate ultra-realistic imagery into videos thanks to the power of artificial intelligence (AI).
The company commented on the new AI Video Lenses in an announcement saying, "We have a long history of being first movers to bring advanced AR, ML and AI tools directly to our community, and we’re excited to see what Snapchatters create."
