Yaacov Kaufman's Twisted Fixtures

— March 31, 2009 — Art & Design
When Polish lamp designer Yaacov Kaufman was finalizing the designs for his unique twisted light fixtures, I imagine the conversation went something like this:

Yaacov Kaufman: “What do you think, Reuven?”
Reuven, the janitor: “Get bent.”
Yaacov: “Brilliant!”

The rest, as they say, is history. Yaacov Kaufman went on to design these prototype and one-of-a-kind lights that are on display in Tel Aviv, and Reuven is now in the Israeli Parliament.

Implications - The lights look as if they fell from space, coming directly from some super contemporary spaceship. They are abstract polygon shapes and are draped in a shiny silver fabric. Enlighten your life with these galactic glowers.
