Smart lighting is becoming increasingly in-demand due to its convenience and Hive's Active Lights are bulbs that can create a customized light schedule for the home.

The bulbs are controlled with the Hive app and have a variety of functions. Through the app, users control dimming levels, turn the lights on or off from any location and set schedules for the lights so that they dim, turn off, or turn on whenever the user needs them to. By being customizable to the user's schedule and lifestyle, this smart lighting not only adds convenience to the home but could reduce energy consumption and costs.

On top of the fact that these smart bulbs conserve energy, they also would be excellent for security purposes when the homeowner is away. Rather than waste money and energy by keeping the lights on all day, homeowners can turn them on from any location only at night.
