With the Simply Ageless Collection from CoverGirl relaunching in stores across Canada this season, Trend Hunter attended an insightful panel discussion involving new Canadian spokesperson and famed media personality Sangita Patel, CoverGirl and model Maye Musk, and the brand’s impactful CMO, Ukonwa Ojo.
During the discussion, panelists considered the impact ageing has had on them and the ideal of beauty women are so often presented with, how the industry is evolving to be more inclusive, and just how much further there is to go. The primary focus of the discussion between the panelists focused on representation in the beauty world, and how CoverGirl, and other brands working towards the same end, have responded to consumer demand with more diversity in their shade ranges, advertising campaigns, and more.
Following the panel discussion, models joined CoverGirl makeup pros Veronica Chu and Amélie Ducharme on stage to show off the “wrinkle defying” foundations that are available in two different formulas, as well as the collection’s new sponge tip concealer. Afterwards, Ducharme offered a few tips on how women of all ages could implement the latest beauty trends into their daily looks, such as the bold single shade eyeshadow look that’s often seen in editorials.
