Sign Language Railway Apps

Govia Thameslink Railway Launches the SignLive App

Govia Thameslink Railway has launched a significant initiative to enhance accessibility for passengers with hearing loss by offering free access to the SignLive app. This app allows users to communicate with Govia Thameslink Railway staff using a trained British Sign Language interpreter. Users can simply select their preferred train brand within the app and be connected to an interpreter at no additional cost, although data charges may apply depending on one's mobile plan. They will then receive important and time-sensitive information such as obtaining travel information, offering feedback, or seeking assistance with bookings.

The SignLive app is available across all of Govia Thameslink Railway's managed stations, trains, and call centers. By partnering with SignLive, the company aims to remove communication barriers for deaf or hearing-impaired passengers.
