Meijer has teamed up with the Council of the Great Lakes Region (CGLR) to spearhead some shoreline cleanup programs throughout Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. The initiative will see technologies rolled out starting this week to help clean up busy beaches, waterways and marinas including the BeBot, which is capable of raking through 32,000-square-feet of sand per hour for trash. The Pixie Drones will be deployed into the water to collect and remove litter, while also capturing important data related to water quality.
