It is a unique space that is meant to merge into its surrounding environment. The Shire is a self-sufficient design that runs on its own power, water, and food.
It is inspired by the Shire in Tolkien's book series, just as the namesake nods towards it. The home is nestled in a rural area in Buenos Aires and it is mostly crafted from concrete. The landscape is full of greenery and lush details which nod to the grass on top of the home. This also simultaneously provides natural insulation from the heat and cold.
