The Shell Starship is the latest heavy-hauler from the petrochemical company and it's being touted as one of the most high-tech and efficient semi trucks to ever be built. Designed and built with help from the AirFlow truck company, the Shell Starship features extensive aerodynamic work and materials that allow the drastically lighten the body of the truck. The shape of the cabin was also meticulously designed to pierce the wind and reduce overall weight.
The entire truck is powered by a hybrid-electric axel system, which is built to kick in to provide a boost for, particularly demanding situations. The vehicle also features a 5,000-watt solar array to run all accessories and reduce the load on the diesel engine.
