Cupcakes and Cashmere’s ‘Shark Bite Cupcakes’ were made in celebration of this year’s Shark Week. Light purple fins mark the top of the sweet treat here, aligning nautical looks with culinary creations.
The recipe followed by Emily Schuman for her Shark Bite Cupcakes is relatively simple. The plain vanilla base was made from a box, one that can be purchased at a standard grocery store. Homemade buttercream frosting was dyed blue with food coloring, another staple home to basic supermarkets.
The most complex component of this dessert was the infusion of strawberry filling into the center of the baked goods. This however can be done with a simple kitchen utensil. The right amount of sprinkles top off the bite-sized snack, perfect for consumption by the shore.
