'Shapes in Nature' Series Brings to Mind '2001: A Space Odyssey'

The Shapes in Nature art series is reminiscent of a particular scene in '2001: A Space Odyssey.' It happens fairly early in the movie when an unknown futuristic object is found by apes in the middle a wild landscape. But instead of taking on the shape of a large rectangle, this series explores spheres, cubes, cones and more.

Created by Chaotic Atmospheres, a freelance illustrator and digital artist based in Geneva, Switzerland, the Shapes in Nature art series explores "erosion on procedural terrains," as written on his Behance page. He goes on to write, "The goal of the project was to find a good way to import terrains from World Machine into Vue." It's safe to say, mission accomplished.
