Award-Winning Weekender Homes

The SHAK is an Off-Grid Luxury Tiny Home

The SHAK is an off-grid luxury tiny home created by Removed Tiny Homes as a bespoke retreat in Victoria's Grampians region. Winner of the 2025 Tiny House Industry Award for Best Weekender, the residence combines dark vertical cladding, an angular stepped roofline, and a wraparound timber deck to create a sculptural exterior that blends into the surrounding landscape. Inside, the compact layout incorporates a leather sofa, a built-in velvet window seat, stacked picture windows, floating timber shelving, and a wood-burning fireplace, while maintaining complete off-grid operation without reliance on external utilities.

The kitchen features dark stone countertops, timber cabinetry, a black herringbone tile backsplash, brass fixtures, and an integrated wine-on-tap system. A sliding barn door separates the bedroom, which includes a queen bed, timber-slat ceiling, and overhead skylight. The bathroom is fitted with a double rainfall shower finished in dark marble tile, brass fittings, a vessel basin, and a full-height glass door that opens directly to the surrounding bushland.
