Danish photographer Jens Lennartsson has taken self-promotion for a whole new ride with his action figure self-marketing. While most photographers focus on getting their portfolios noticed and advertised Jens mailed out 400 action figures of himself.
Working with a company that makes custom action figures, Lennartsson put it much time and dedication to make sure they got his image just right. Along with the innovative toy, Jens attached a promotional package equipped with his portfolio; looking at it as a less expensive and more realistic sense of self-marketing. Sending out the perfect portfolio was not ideal to him, with the risk of it disappearing among the many other portfolios the recipient receives. Lennartsson wanted to make an epic impression so he wouldn’t be forgotten, and who could forget you when they have a 12 inch carbon copy staring them in the face on a day to day basis?
This type of marketing is sure to blow doors wide open and will probably be used more later on in the future or even just for amusement. I mean, I don’t have anything to market, but a action figure version of me sure does sound fun!
