The Seletti Wears Toiletpaper collection is aptly titled. For those not familiar with Seletti, it is an Italian home ware manufacturer that has decided to collaborate with provocative artist Maurizio Cattelan for its latest line of dishes, mugs and tablecloths. Although the dinnerware itself is pretty basic, the images that have been incorporated on them is far from that. From Cattelan's iconic cutoff fingers to a toilet plunger and collage of beetles, the dishes might as well be wrapped in toilet paper.
Of course, the name of the Seletti Wears Toiletpaper collection borrows itself from the artist's Toiletpaper series, which is a collaborative effort with fashion photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari. Cattalan states, "Pierpaolo and I are like sadistic scientists: everything around us can be infected by the ‘TP’ virus."
