HAY Partners with Laila Gohar to Launch the 'Sobremesa' Collection

Luxury furniture designer HAY has joined forces with Egyptian artist and renowned chef Laila Gohar to launch of one-of-a-kind tableware collection called 'Sobremesa.' The collection consists of a variety of playful everyday kitchen and dining objects and adhere's to a theme that focuses on the positive aspects of hosting.

Fittingly, Sobremesa is a Spanish word for “relaxing and enjoying idle moments, and each other’s company at the end of the meal.” Specific pieces in the collection include a stoneware vase, a bean pot, a cookie jar, porcelain bowls, and various tableware pieces such as embroidered table clothes and placemats. All of the items feature vibrant and uplifting color schemes and design elements.

“All of the items together create an extension of my own world,” said Gohar. “I approach them as a little fantasy or dream.
