Fromsoftware Announced 'Sekiro: No Defeat' in Sekiro Universe

Sekiro: No Defeat was officially announced during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19, 2025, as a Crunchyroll exclusive anime adaptation produced by Qzil.la.. The series is based on FromSoftware’s 2019 title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and is slated to premiere on Crunchyroll in 2026. Currently, it is not confirmed whether the series will be a limited-run of one season, or a long-running show spanning the entire story of the game.

Qzil.la, founded in 2021 and known for its work on Kuromi’s Pretty Journey, unveiled a teaser trailer that highlights a distinctive art style for the series. The story is set in Sengoku-period Japan, following the Divine Heir and his silent shinobi protector as they confront an emerging threat within the Ashina clan’s Interior Ministry, continuing the narrative established in the original game.
