FromSoftware, the Japanese game developers behind the 'Dark Souls' franchise as well as hit titles such as 'Elden Ring,' recently announced the 'Elden Ring Tabletop RPG.' The company has previously created tabletop games and card games for its franchises, such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Demon's Souls, so given the stellar success of Elden Ring, this release is to be expected.
FromSoftware did not release all of the details surrounding the Elden Ring Tabletop RPG, but it is expected that it will play similarly to the company's previous board games. These games involved each player picking a character and attempting to conquer a large number of monsters and bosses while accruing money and wealth. One of the most unique aspects of FromSoftware's board games are that they are very difficult. Often times a player losing a single fight in the game results in the entire match being over.
