I can only imagine how much more popular studio apartments would be if they were all outfitted with Sebastian Popa's Micro. Micro is a tiny all-in-one kitchen that contains a dishwasher, cutting board, a refrigerator and two cooking elements.

Micro crams all of this into a small podium no larger than a conventional stove. The dishwasher is built into the top of Micro for easy loading and unloading. The elements are located on opposite sides of the kitchen stand and are controlled via a control panel installed on top of tabletop. The refrigerator is admittedly small, but it looks large enough to hold the basic cooking essentials. Recently, designers have been creating conceptual kitchens that combine all of the essential kitchen appliances into on space-saving package. Don't be surprised if the kitchen of the future looks a little something like Sebastian Popa's Micro.
