Youtube Music Launches New 'Seasonal Recap' Feature

Youtube Music has announced the launch of 'Seasonal Recaps,' an all-new feature that works to round-up users' top songs, albums, artists, and playlists every season. Of course, the new feature arrives as a direct response to Spotify's popular yearly round-up offering called 'Spotify Wrapped.'

The new feature will kick off with the 'Spring Recap' and the '2021 Recap,' the latter of which will allow users to view their top content from the previous year retroactively. Similar to Spotify wrapped, Youtube's Seasonal Recaps have also been designed to be easily shared.

“Similar to the 2021 Recap, you’ll find your personalized content in the Spring Recap landing page on the YouTube Music app along with your personalized Spring Recap playlist,” Khan wrote. “Want to tell your friends about your favorite songs of the Spring? Easily share your Spring Recap playlist and stats by simply tapping the arrow at the bottom of your stats card.”
