Photographer Sean King has captured the overflowing beauty of Hawaiian volcanoes. The lava that he has so accurately depicted is surprising given his recent entry into the artistic industry. He has however managed to relay exceptional colors and backdrops.
Present in King's images is molten rock and a star-studded sky. Interestingly enough, King is colorblind. This has however not stopped him from getting at a rich purple, red and yellow palette, one that will invoke emotion on behalf of those that are familiar with the region.
His current trade is largely accidental. Leaving his life as a Long Island carpenter behind for Hawaii's Pahoa town, he merely wanted to send pictures of the landscape back home to his friends. The project turned out to have artistic merit.
