This Screen Wiper Looks Like a Chalkboard Brush

This screen wiper will remind you of a classroom chalkboard brush, or a whiteboard brush depending on when you were born. Infusing traditional and scholarly taste into a gadget cleaner, Japanese design studio Tent1000 reminisces about the past while designing a cleaning solution for futuristic technology. This prototype, titled the Display Cleaner, is a hand-held brush that safely scrubs dust or fingerprints from your TV, computer or phone screens.

The hand-held brush looks pretty much identical to what teachers once used to wipe chalkboards. With countless new and future-forward technological devices on the market, it’s a nice refresher to see a design that gets back to the basics. It’s so simple to use with no instructions necessary, but because of its familiar shape, users will know exactly how to use it.
