Rivalling School Pranks

In This School Prank, a Group of Harvard Students Conducts Yale Tours

This mischievous school prank shows a bit of the ongoing rivalry between Yale and Harvard. In this case, a Harvard comedy group purchased sweatshirts from the Yale campus and set up its own tours around campus, offering “free Yale tours from Yale students.”

Before the tours even start, the Harvard student posing as a Yale tour guide advises that the group keep a good grip on their personal belongings, immediately downplaying the prestige of the campus.

The mock Yale student goes on to spout false facts about the school’s origins and how much its campus buildings actually were designed after those at Harvard. At the end of the tour, the mock guide remarks that he won’t accept any tips, but will offer one: “go to Harvard.”
