Henkel Debuted its New Brand Design and Packaging for 'schauma'

'schauma' is a personal care brand operating under 'Henkel,' a German-based global business that specializes in adhesive technologies, beauty care, and laundry & home care. In February 2022, Henkel unveiled a new brand image and product design strategy for its schauma brand. The new schauma packaging will focus on inclusivity and simplicity.

schauma's new design places minimalism, clear communication, and inclusiveness at the forefront. The bottles have a modern unisex design with an organized face. The face of the bottles features the new schauma logo, an image that describes what ingredients are used in the product, the name of the product, and a brief description of the purpose of the product. This design leaves space for the back of the bottle to clearly outline the implications of the product. This includes ingredients that some consumers may have allergies to as well as possible effects of using the product.

On top of the simplistic bottle design, schauma's new packages include 50% recycled plastic for the colored bottles and 98% recycled plastic for the clear bottles. Henkel's new schauma rebrand marks a positive change toward a sustainable, inclusive future for the personal care industry.
