Circular Dining Interiors

Savvia Restaurant is Organised Around a Stone Table in Mexico City

Savvia restaurant is an interior project by WORC Studio located in Mexico City that centres the dining experience around a large circular stone table. The table acts as the spatial and social anchor of the restaurant, shaping circulation and seating arrangements throughout the ground-floor space. Guests are positioned around this central element, reinforcing a communal approach to dining while allowing clear movement paths around the perimeter. The interior palette combines stone, exposed concrete, wood, metal, and glass, with surfaces left largely untreated to emphasise material texture and weight. Fixed furniture and built-in elements are used to maintain clarity and order within the open plan.

Natural light enters through openings positioned to highlight the textures of the stone and concrete surfaces. Artificial lighting is kept restrained and integrated to avoid visual distraction from the central table. Custom joinery and detailing support daily restaurant operations while aligning with the overall material strategy.
