C.F. Martin & Co. has introduced a collection of four novel acoustic guitar models ahead of a major music trade exhibition. The range comprises the Super D-18, the Super HD-28, the Martin O'ahu K-42 Hibiscus, and the Custom Shop M Paisley Ember Burst.
The Super D-18 and the Super HD-28 incorporate an enlarged 'Super D' body design, which is reported to offer increased internal volume and acoustic output while maintaining a traditional dreadnought silhouette, now offered with classic Martin material appointments like solid spruce tops paired with mahogany or rosewood backs and sides. The Martin O'ahu K-42 Hibiscus model, on the other hand, presents a unique hybrid 12-fret body with a 14-fret neck configuration crafted from figured koa. Finally, the Custom Shop M Paisley Ember Burst features distinctive decorative paisley patterning on its top, a special finish, and premium onboard electronics.
