Gibson Custom has introduced a limited-production and stunning acoustic guitar developed in collaboration with Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett. This model, named the Raven, is based on the company's established Hummingbird design but incorporates a distinct visual identity centered on a dark, gothic aesthetic.
The instrument is constructed with a Sitka spruce top and mahogany for the back, sides, and neck, featuring traditional scalloped bracing to shape its acoustic properties. Its playing characteristics include an ebony fingerboard with a 16-inch radius and a neck profile designed for comfort. The unique decorative elements consist of a mother-of-pearl raven skull inlay on the headstock, thematic double pickguards, and a custom tailpiece. It is equipped with an L.R. Baggs electronic pickup system for amplification, includes discreet onboard controls, and ships with a matching hardshell case, a custom strap, and a certificate of authenticity.
Only 100 units of this stunning acoustic guitar were produced.
