Gibson Custom Boasts the Acoustic Anniversary Limited Edition Capsule

Gibson Custom has launched the Acoustic Anniversary Limited Edition Collection, a series of five flat-top models — the J-45, Hummingbird, SJ-200, Dove, and Advanced Jumbo. Each is limited to 100 instruments worldwide. The instruments were handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, to commemorate a century of acoustic guitar craftsmanship.

Gibson Custom’s heirloom-quality guitars feature select bear claw Sitka spruce tops chosen for their dramatic figuring and rich acoustic response. The silhouettes are combined with a vintage-inspired Cremona Burst gloss nitrocellulose finish that evokes the earliest Gibson flat-tops while adding a historic elegance to each instrument. The Acoustic Anniversary Limited Edition Collection incorporates premium materials throughout, including rosewood fretboards, bone nuts and saddles, gold-plated Grover tuning machines, and model-specific back and side woods such as mahogany for the J-45 and Hummingbird, figured maple for the SJ-200 and Dove, and rosewood for the Advanced Jumbo.

For modern performance, every instrument comes equipped with L.R. Baggs VTC electronics featuring an under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp with discreet soundhole-mounted controls.
