Sancal's Maxie Chair is a Minimalist's Dream
Rose Nazarali — May 20, 2009 — Art & Design
Less is more with Sancal’s Maxie Chair. This design is made for the minimalists at heart who prefer simple clean lines in their home decor.
The chair itself uses very thin metal poles for the structure with the thinnest of padding for the seat.
The Maxie Chair is available in a variety of colours and fabrics, including plastic, leather and buffed leather.
Implications - The minimalism that is present here is similar to insect legs, which reflects the modern consumer's to mix nature and modern design. Despite the industrially simplistic look, interior design can incorporate the best of both worlds, which would appeal most to a young, urban consumer who lives in a small downtown space, like a condo.
