The Google Glass App was tested as an aid in safety checks for pilots at the Spanish pilot school, and with great results. Pilots were able to use the device to help them go through pre-flight checklists, as well as look at maps while navigating in the air.
At this point, Google Glasses are such a new concept that many people are still experimenting to see where the product fits best. One company is teaming up with Google to make the design more fashion-friendly, but perhaps this is where the real value can be found: in certain industries that could benefit from more efficient technology where it doesn't matter how it looks. The Google Glass App for flying is one way that the company can expand on its client base for this product.
