Sony Reveals Its RX10 V Superzoom Compact Camera

Sony introduced the RX10 V, a telephoto-focused compact camera featuring a 24-600mm equivalent f/2.4-4 lens and a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch stacked sensor designed to deliver long-reach shooting in a single body. The new model debuted with a squarer chassis and larger grip, along with a faster processor that enables 30 fps blackout-free burst shooting and an upgraded autofocus system.

Autofocus was enhanced with a dedicated deep AI processor that expands subject detection beyond humans and animals to include vehicles and insects. The system offers 575 autofocus points and 70% sensor coverage. Video capabilities advance to full-width 4K 60p 10-bit recording and optional 4K 120p slow motion, along with improved stabilization, S-Log3 support and LUT previews.
