Monitor-Rotating Devices

Focus-Dynamics' 'Rotato' Changes a Screen's Orientation with One Touch

The 'Rotato' by Focus-Dynamics is a USB-powered accessory for computer monitors that makes it possible to change the orientation of a screen just by pressing one key on a keyboard.

The motorized accessory is mounted between a monitor and a mount stand, so that the rotation and stand adjustments are made automatically. In order to accommodate monitors of different sizes, there are different mounting heights offered. For whatever reason the setup isn't installed correctly and there is an obstruction, Rotato will automatically return to its former resting position. Most impressively, this is all done with a USB connection, so that no other power sources or cables are needed.

Considering the ease of being able to flip a screen's direction on smartphone and tablets, it's not a surprise that the world of desktop computers is trying to catch up.
