Synthetic Rhino Horns

'Pembient' is Combating Rhino Poaching by Creating Biotech Synthetic Horns

Pembient is a start-up company working to counteract the amount of rhino poaching taking place in Africa and Asia. Rhino poaching is an illegal act that is used to obtain the valuable rhino horns, which are then sold on the black market. Pembient has created a biotech solution to recreate a synthetic rhino horn using DNA and chemical reactions.

These fake horns contain the same genetic fingerprint as a real rhino horn. The synthetic horns can be used instead of real horns in products such as rhino horn beer and skin cream infused with rhino horn.

Pembient is currently seeking a partnership with a massive Beijing brewery that created a rhino horn beer. Once the synthetic horns are implemented into the beverage and beauty industries, the poaching of rhinos will hopefully cease to exist.
