Microsoft acquired LinkedIn last year and now, it is introducing a new LinkedIn-integrated Microsoft Word tool called 'Resume Assistant.'
Resume Assistant will first be made available to English-language users of Office 365 who are also enrolled in the Office Insiders program. With this new tool, these users will be able to leverage the power of artificial intelligence for job hunting. Since it is a challenge for many job hunters to create a tailor-made resume that will be applicable for a specific opportunity, the tool makes it possible for users to search for experiences and skills on LinkedIn to enhance their professional portfolio document.
Additionally, within Microsoft Word, Resume Assistant users can even let potential employers know that they are interested in a new job—without revealing this information to their current boss.
