The Renault Ez-Go Looks To Bring Stylish Autonomous Car Services

Renault is looking to expand into the ride-sharing space with the release of its Renault Ez-Go concept. The new concept vehicle is an autonomous, electric vehicle that is set to provide city dwellers with an alternative to public transport. With the ability to transport up to six passengers, the Renault Ez-Go is built for riding alone, with friends and family, or shared with other riders among various ride hailing users. The concept car and service is able to operate around the clock and hopes to provide a solid alternative to automotive ownership.

The on-demand Renault Ez-Go can be requested through an instant-booking app, similar to Uber and Lyft, but can also be hailed through physical stations. The on-site stations are built to look like trees, a design effort to better integrate the service into cities, and feature screens that can be used to hail the Ez-Go and provide cultural and tourist information about the area. The interior of the vehicle is incredibly spacious and features Wi-Fi connectivity, charging stations and screens to display route information.
