‘Reimagining Chinatown' Dives Into L.A. Urban Culture

James Rojas (co-founder of Latino Urban Forum) knows a thing or two about U.S. Urban Latino culture and he wants to dive deeper into that culture with this “Reimagining Chinatown” exhibit.

The exhibit will be hosted at “Fifth Floor” (Urban planning store in Chinatown) and Rojas says his goal is that the exhibit “mimics the dynamic and collective nature of urban life.”

The idea behind the project is that people can come into the store and see small toy structures (buildings and stuff) and they can use those to construct their own Chinatown on a 4x8 pad that shows the L.A. area.

It’s an excellent way to have people involved and to see what they think of their home.
