KP Snacks-owned Popchips has unveiled reduced packaging in a move to help modernize the brand and save materials by the tonne. The brand announced that it has reduced the size of plastic layers both inside and outside that will help contribute towards an overall decrease of 10% per year. This is estimated to be as much as 23 tonnes of material that will be saved, which translates to over five million fewer packs each year.
The Popchips reduced packaging will be rolling out to retailers starting in November through January 2021 and is part of the KP Snacks pacKPromise. This will see the company shifting towards less packaging across its entire portfolio of products with the end goal to have all plastic film packaging being 100% recyclable by 2025.
