Popchips Snacks Have Been Reformulated in the UK

The Popchips snacks have been reformulated in the UK ahead of HFSS legislation to keep give them a healthier edge over the competition.

The snacks include a variety of familiar flavors including Sea Salt, Sour Cream & Onion, Sea Salt & Vinegar and Barbecue, which are all formulated with lowered salt, sugar and fat. The snack maintains its popped recipe that isn't fried to maintain its lighter profile that is crunchy but not greasy. The products are rolling out to retailers now and follows on the brand's previously announced strategy for HFSS regulations.

Trading Director at KP Snacks Matt Collins spoke on the reformulated Popchips snacks saying, "Popchips is a leading brand in the healthier snacking segment and its non-HFSS reformulation across the range cements this position. At KP Snacks, reformulation plays a key part of our comprehensive HFSS strategy and we are proud to be supporting retailers in this way as they adjust to upcoming legislation. By the time HFSS laws take effect, over 100 of our SKUs will be non-HFSS”
