Images of layered gobstoppers, jawbreakers, gumballs and candy canes come to mind when I look at this rainbow abstract chair. This wonderfully whimsical design comprises a pure white shell of an unusual shape, molded to form large cavities that are decorated with thin stripes of vibrant colors. Every hue in the spectrum seems to make an appearance in this unusual lounger, but their order has been set to deliver contrast and visual drama.
In stark difference to these intensely pigmented openings is the bright white body that takes a beautifully smooth shape. Like the seat, the base is rounded, enabling Alex Petunin's DP Chair to be used like a relaxing rocker. A pair of colorful horns at the front and back prevent the sitter from swaying too far.
