With e-sports viewership becoming almost as popular as physical sports viewership, it was only a matter of time before a sports bar got replaced by an e-sports bar, as is the case Raiders E-Sports Centre. Located minutes away from the St. Clair subway station in midtown Toronto, Raiders E-Sports Centre is moving into the space vacated by Sport Centre Cafe, a former sports bar.
Other than the fact that it will be playing virtual sports, the new e-sports bar is quite similar to a standard sports bar. It will be decked out with more than 30 flat-screen HD TVs and will cover more than 7,000 square feet of floor space. As opposed to regular bars, though, Raiders E-Sports Centre will let its patrons play the sports it shows, as the bar plans to include 24 powerful gaming PCs on premises.
