Thailand-based fashion label Takara Wong introduced the Race Riot collection, designed specifically for the Spring/Summer 2019 season. It directly shines a light on the Venezuelan protests and explores violent themes. Some details include the bold images and unique cuts, showcasing a sense of mixed culture. It also highlights concepts that protest the "status-quo and potential chaos."
Some standout items from the capsule include the tops and bottoms that are adorned in all-over design patterns, punk-style leather and denim patched apparel and large blazers. Some also feature works by photographers Juan Berreto and Ronaldo Schemidt, displaying the famous photographs of Venezuelan protesters on fire. In the collection, there's also a selection of accessories that have been made alongside Missile and J Zhong Eyewear.
