Tilda recently unveiled an all-new 'Pulses and Rice' collection that will appeal to those with a desire for exotic flavor experimentation and plant-based proteins.
Each product is made with a base of basmati rice that's been combined with legumes like split peas, beans, edamame or chickpeas. On top of this, globally inspired flavors are added, introducing combinations like 'Jerk & Coconut,' 'Harissa & Lemon' and 'Onion & Wasabi.'
The United Nations declared 2016 as the International Year of Pulses and these of-the-moment legumes deserve recognition because they are rich sources of plant-based proteins and other essential nutrients. As well as having numerous benefits for health,
pulses are known to have nitrogen-fixing properties, which can play a part in increasing soil fertility.
