Nespresso recently unveiled its first-ever Puerto Rican coffee blend that helps raise tree planting funds with every box of coffee pods sold. Known for its premium coffees, coffee machines and recycling initiative, Nespresso continues its eco-conscious legacy with 'REVIVING ORIGINS,' a program that encourages agricultural development across nations affected by natural disasters.
Nespesso's first Peurto Rican coffee is named Cafecito de Puerto Rico and is described as full-bodied and intense. Alongside the coffee pods, Nespresso launched a fundraiser in partnership with Hispanic Federation, a nonprofit that is helping Puerto Rico rebuild following recent, devastating hurricanes. In addition to the countless homes lost in the hurricanes, the disasters have also depleted the nation's coffeelands, greatly affecting its agriculture and coffee production facilities.
The brand has pledged to raise $1 million in funds alongside its celebrity ambassadors George Clooney and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
